How to make snow?

Lemme show you all how to make snow.
First, buy this Dr. Cool MAGIC SNOW at Toys R Us at RM7.95.

Second, read the instruction behind the box.
Pour small amount of powder on your hand and add water (depends on the amount of powder on your hand, try to add & mix the water with the powder slowly).

Third, you'll have instant snow on your hand!! You can feel the 'almost real snow' if you mixed the powder with cold water.

Chill....

Student Council 2010 (organization chart)

Well I know many of you who are still not sure who're in Student Council 2010.
So here we go, a demo version of SC organization chart for temporary use.
Special thanks to Aki Chong for this chart and design. :D

Memorial Service

Attended Memorial Service at Curtin LTBS11.
I heard this should be the first memorial service of student in Curtin Sarawak.
It was my:
First time attended to memorial service.
First invitation (and maybe job) as Student Council.
First time attended to someone's memorial service (that I don't even know him).
First time saw many sad and crying faces in one event.
First time felt the moody and gloomy mood in SOB.
First time felt human life is really fragile.
Everyone, please take good care of yourself.
Life is bigger than everything.
Rest in peace, Mathew J.K.

THE CIRCUS ~after show~

Hmm.. I think I'm totally addicted to music these days... via my dear W595 phone (sorry that I accidentally dropped u few times) + still-the-lovely W550i earphone.
Sometimes I do enjoy the powerful music while lying on bed. Music is so magical and I think I can't live without music. Oh my dear ears, my dear life >_<
Anyway, back to the topic:
Well, thank you for all the supports and feedbacks for Project Care presents THE CIRCUS.

It's been almost 3 weeks since the successful show on 18th Oct 09, but some of us still haven't stop discussing bout it. We received many positive comments and also feedbacks for improvement. And we even positive comment from Professor Dr. Joan Gribble: "best show in Curtin I've ever attended!" (Gribble, J 2009).
I think we broke Curtin student-run charity project record:
- raised RM20, 000 within 1.5 years
- to build a solar panel at Long Makabar's cultural village
- Gained publicity for the project and the team
- Organized THE CIRCUS in 40 days
- Only 8 (to 7.5) of us in the team
Below are some questions being asked.. so you'll have some ideas for the show and what's goin' on behind the curtain (note: personal opinion, not on behalf of Project Care):
-- How did THE CIRCUS come about? --
Actually I've an idea of making a charity show (an entertainment show, not THE CIRCUS) to raise fund or create awareness for people in need few semester ago. But unfortunately there's no one who actually support or actually made it happened (such as clubs, and even JCLA as well).
Then when a chance came, I mentioned to Project Care, most disagreed at first (it's actually a debt for us as we might either Success - raise huge amount of money, or Fail - huge loss) but later we came to a decision to GO.
While thinking of an entertainment and unique show, what came into my mind is a circus. Besides, "Welcome" by Christina Aguilera is also one of the most important factor to motivate me to make a great and 'amazing' show. (Welcome to the greatest show, greatest show on earth you never seen before...).
My definition of THE CIRCUS is a variety of performance in one show. I want it to be unique, never seen before and interesting. I want to let people feels that they're all in the circle of the circus (that's why I requested some performers that their performance is not stricted on stage only.. and I made the opening song "Welcome" to start from the backdoor to the stage).
-- What is the purpose of THE CIRCUS? --
THE CIRCUS is a musical and entertainment charity show to raise fund to PROJECT CARE (one of the first batch of John Curtin Leadership Academy project group) solar panel project for Long Makabar.
-- What will people expect from THE CIRCUS? --
Well, actually what we concerned was the title and the show.
I know a lot of people actually expected to see the real circus that consists of animals, ringleader (we do have a ringleader), flying/people throwing etc. We even held an audition to search for unique talent to perform on the show. Overall, I tried my very best to make people think that this is a great show, despite their initial expectation to the circus.
-- What do we expect from THE CIRCUS? --
In terms of Project Care, our target fund is RM6000/400 seats in order to complete our 1.5 years long project. But we managed to receive 500 audience for the show, as well as successfully raised more than the target fund!
As for myself, the biggest concern/expectation is to receive positive feedback from the audience. I'll be very happy, even there's only one audience said he/she like the show. My own purpose for the show is to entertain people and make people enjoy & happy.
*****************
Overall, I'm satisfied with THE CIRCUS.
Although it was tough as we only have 40 days to complete everything for the show. I've been stressed out so much (also during and even after the show) but seems like everything is worth when I looked back at the success of the show. Despite all the tears and hardworks for the show, it's still a WONDERFUL experience in my life, and I'm very glad that my dream really came true. Really never expected that I managed to be the coordinator of a show and successfully held a charity show in Curtin Sarawak. So unbelievable!

Even there are few people request for another shows, and some suggested to have it annually.
Well, there's no plan for now since THE CIRCUS successfully closed Project Care 1.5 years long Solar Panel Project, but never say never. =)
If there's another chance (just if...), I hope to have bigger budget or financial support so that I can fully use my ideas which are not able to make it in THE CIRCUS.. even though I/we managed to organize a nice show that I'm satisfied with - within a very tight budget. Good good!
Btw, I'm happy to assist anyone who're interested to organize some events.
I'll try my best to help out and give some useful advices.
Thanks to everyone's support.
Thanks for making this show a SUCCESS!
